Mine Power Feeder (MPF)
Tiger Brand Mine Power Feeder Cables are designed for reliable, long-lasting connections between units of mine distribution systems installed in duct, conduit or open air, and for direct burial in wet and dry locations.
Cable constructions range from 5000 – 35000 Volts. Grounded and 100% insulation level (133% insulation level available on request).
Tiger® Brand Mine Power Feeder cables meet or exceeds ICEA Standards S-75-381/NEMA WC-58, ASTM B-8 and B-33.
Jacket options include:
- Mold-cured thermosetting Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE)
- Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)


MSHA-Approved Flexible VFD Power Cables
This MSHA-approved flexible, braid and foil shielded, 2kV power cable is specifically engineered for use in variable frequency AC motor drive (VFD) applications in mines.
This cable carries “P-184-MSHA” marking indicating acceptance as flame resistant by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
Tiger® Brand Mining Cable materials meet or exceed ICEA Standard S-75-381/NEMA WC-58 for Type SHC constructions. ASTM B-172 and B-33.

CIR® Power, Control & Instrumentation Cables
CIR® is a flexible, Cursh & Impact Resisstant cable family that does not requie external armor. It is designed to replace older-technology cables like Type MC.
- MSHA approved for 2 – 7 conductor constructions.
- UL Listed as Type TC-ER-HL – suitable for use in Class 1, Div 1 and Zone 1 environments
- UL Listed as Type TC-ER – suitable for a variety of uses, including those where tray cables are not practical or cost-prohibitive.
- Highly flexible – unlike Type MC, CIR is flexible for easier installation. The cable can also be reused during an upgrade or retrofit.
- Designed to operate in extremely cold environments
