Telephone Central Office Power (TCOP)

Low Smoke Non-Halogen & Non-Braided TCOP Cable
AmerCable Telephone Central Office Power (TCOP) is a flexible, single-conductor low smoke, non-halogen 600V power cable suitable for use in telephone central office applications, gateways, fiber optic amplifiers, wireless towers, data centers, battery back-ups, back-up generators, UPS systems and similar equipment.
Features
- Suitable for continuous operating temperatures of 75° C wet and 90° C dry
- Rated RHH, RHW; 1/0 and larger listed and marked “for CT use”
- UL listed as Sunlight Resistant
- Flame Resistance: FT-4/IEEE 1202
- Low Smoke Characteristics: Meets smoke release and other requirements of Vertical Tray Test UL 1685
- Extremely flexible Class I stranding is used for increased flexibility and ease of installation. Other stranding also available
- Tough outer layer has exceptional resistance to cold flow (creep) and cut- thru.
- Also available in red, blue, green and grey – black jacket is standard
Primary Usage
- Primary DC power distribution – It carries –48 VDC (the standard voltage in telecom systems) from the battery plant or rectifiers to telecom equipment racks, frames, and distribution systems
- Battery backup connections – Connects back-up batteries to the power distribution system, ensuring uninterrupted operation during outages
- Rectifier and inverter connections – Delivers power from rectifiers (AC to DC converters) and inverters (DC to AC converters) to telecom gear
- Low-voltage, high-current applications – TCOP is built with flexible stranded copper conductors to handle very high currents at relatively low voltage
- Fire-resistant and low-smoke environments –AmerCable TCOP cables have flame-retardant, low-smoke, non-halogen (LSZH) minimize risk for people and equipment from caustic smoke should a fire happen
